Prelude REV COUNTER weak spring? NEEDS FIXING

My Prelude rev counter seems to have a weak spring in it, as the needle is not always showing correct revs? Anyone know someone/company may be able to fix it? OR have a spare rev counter for a 1997 2.2 VTi at the right price please.

Is your car an import with a KMPH-MPH convertor?
If so then this is likely to be the problem (check the wiring)

Otherwise it might be the VSS in the gearbox or the clocks themselves.
