Evening all. Thought this might get a better response in here rather than the transmission bit. I'm looking at using the S2000 gearbox in a kit car, but putting it behind the Alfa 2.5 V6. Does anyone know what power a stock gearbox will reliably handle? The stock engine is 220 NM, but once tuned that will go up. Hopefully a lot! Will the S2000 box turn itself into a shiny box of bits of cogs?

There are no published figures but this may help.
This is a stock gearbox with supercharged engine, US guys have pushed more.
You might find more details here;

That's good enough for me! I'll only be starting at about 170 Lbft, so if it can handle upwards of 210 lbft I should be ok until II decide to fit a supercharger! hehe

I believe it's the same 6-speed box that is in the IS200 & S15 200sx.

The 6pot IS200 is a bit torquey, and the 200sx's were 240ps I think ..
