I have a 2002 S2000 that im taking to the nurbergring in august but at the moment it seems to be a little twitchy at speed, any common twitchy type problems on an s2 that old? Any ideas for a cure ive had it tracked but it still seems iffy!

The only place i had any isues was schwedenkreuz (sp?) in excess of 110mph which is a very fast left hander over a crest.

The crest really unsettles the rear, but its a pretty hairy part in any car (have a look on youtube).

Make sure you take spare brake pads with you - the nearest Honda dealer is an hour away from Adenau and they dont speak a word of English!

Big difference between someone 'checking the tracking' (waste of time IMHO) and someone properly setting-up the geometry, esp. on a car like the S2000 where all 3 axes are adjustable.

Not cheap (£100+ if done properly), but really worthwhile - completely changed the character of mine!

Also might be worth investing in some lower-front and lower-rear cross-braces. Will set you back c.£200 or so inc. fitting (can DIY if you've ramps, or jacks but that unloads the wheels so may change the mounting points slightly), but does make the car feel a little more 'planted', progressive and communicative.

Start with geo, then think about braces...

Totally agree (again - supprise).

Try CentreGravity if you are in the midlands, or TGM if in the thames Valley area.

It's not 4 wheel alignment. It needs a full geometry setup (Camber, caster and toe) which the 4 wheels alignment wont cover.

Cannot recomend chris from centre gravity enough. He deals with alot of people on s2ki. Ive had all my cars aligned through him and is always a pleasure.

Some places do. When I had to get my 4WS prelude aligned, they did camber caster and toe and was still only around £50.

it needs camber and toe on all four wheels relative to each other and castor on the front. It alos needs someone with the right settings ofr the right year, Honda issued 3 sets!
Cheapest I've managed for a reliable 4 wheel set up is £120 adjusted.
