S2000 Carpet information

Hi, need some help...have a 2000 W reg Honda S2000. Lovely car, however the red carpet is a bit tatty so I want to replace it...I am not going to pay £600 at honda however...Any carpets from this age of car at the scrappy are also damaged. Can get a red carpet from a 2007 car really cheap but am unsure wether it will fit..Have asked 3 dealers, 2 say it wont fit and 1 says it will. The part numbers start the same but end different. Have been in to compare my carpet to a 2007 model in the showroom and cant see any major difference. If I buy the carpet and it doesnt fit they will not accept a return on the item...Anybody out there got some info on this ???? or anybody replaced their carpet ????? really struggling with this one. The late carpet will have different holes around the console area and behind the seats where the console extends.
Should fit otherwise.
