How well do the Civic Type R keep going into the high mileage spectrum, are they in the same league as the VW Golf for instance?

Thanks
Luke

I know of a couple with over 100,000 miles and they're still working fine.

Not a civic but my ATR is on 136k at the moment and there are a few about with 180k+.

I am sure as long as the fluids are changed regularly and kept at the right level, then there should be no problems.

Hondas aren't in the same league as a Golf. They're far better smile

As long as the service/ oil change schedule has been adhered to there should be no major problems.

If they're serviced correctly they're fine with high mileages.

I did 125,000 miles in my CTR.

I did have problems throughout the life of the car, but they weren't mileage related. The engine was absolutely spot on all the way through, too.

60K just clicked over on mine and no problems at all. As others have said , keep the fluid levels topped up and it 'should' be bulletproof.
