Just bought a 2007 CRV EX with satnav/audio system. There is a slot for a PC card to play MP3 tracks. I was told that it took CF cards but when I put one in it just dissapeared into the slot - (had to fish it our with tweezers!) - obviously the slot is too big for a CF card. Do I need a different type of card or do I need an adapter to play CF cards?
Thanks for any advice you can give.

Topic dear to my heart. smile

The slot takes PCMCIA cards (same thing most laptops used to use). You can buy a PCMCIA card that will accept you CF card. Sounds strange but works a treat.

personally I went with an SD card instead of CF. Total cost was ~£40 for 4GB buying all the parts from Amazon.

Thanks Sagacitas, I actualy have a PCMCIA card which I have never used. It came with my printer. Got some tracks on my card and into the car and everything is great! I have heard that 2GB is the max you can have in the Honad Audio system You say you got a 4GB card does that work OK?
Cheers

I have a Transcend 4GB Secure Digital Memory Card in a SanDisk 6-in-1 PC Card Adapter
and it works with no problems.

note that many SD cards nowdays are the High Capacity type (SD HC) that I am not sure will work. But a plain jane 4GB SD card works fine.

Thanks. In that case I will get a 4GB card, that should fit enough music on to keep me going (for the life of the car!)
