S2000 Speaker Upgrade

Hi guys, wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction as to which speakers fit directly without mods into the S2000 speaker holes. Friend is just about to buy one and he wants to know what he can drop in without any changes.

Presuming you mean the door speakers
Honda's are 6.25" most after martket ones are 6.5"

Probably in the FAQ, but fitting some mid-range behind the head-rests is supposed to be one of the best mods possible without spending a fortune.

I got some small ally spacers from the S2ki forum.

They screw into the origional holes and then allow a larger range of aftermarket speakers.

The early cars only had the mid's. The later had tweeters high in the doors, and then even later ones in the headrest.

I had to go Focal CoAx in the doors (instead of components) as mine is an early model.

This is a MY08 car and he is very keen it looks standard because it is a lease vehicle.

Thank you for the link to the FAQ, it is difficult to know what applies though with the replies being baised to the US market.

Hmm looks like 08YM S2000 is a good option, certainly it has gone up in evo's estimation if you look at the latest issue.
