Stuck at work, but need to order some oil to a filter change.

Primary question, how much, and secondarily....

What ?

Was going to go for a good semi 10/40 like Silkolene.

Whats your thoughts ?

It might, perhaps, help to tell us which car its for... particularly as it doesnt list a Honda even in your profile.

At least 10W-40 semi.

But don't go for 0W's...a few Honda owners have found them too thin for the engines.

I'd suggest you want either a 5W40 or a 10W40, as good a formulation/brand as you can buy (as that can make more difference than the grades). After all, the engine DOES spin a little faster than most... biggrin

Cheers all, was going to go for the semi synth 10/40 and change it earlier.

Annoyingly, we have nothing at work at all, poxy Bmw's use 0w/60 for current and the older cars use ste 10/40.

Faced with having to pay retail for oil for the first time in bloody years.

Question is HOW MUCH ?

I dont have an owners book for the car, but Im guessing the capacity will be around 5.5 litres ?

Poxy ITR DC2 search is even worse than the one here.... mad
