civic type r 01-06 last date of manafacture????

Hi can any one tell me when the last civic type r was made.(EK3)
My mates reckon they didnt make them in 2006. I have a 06 reg could it have been sitting in a compound for a while before being registered ????

I have an 06 reg also, so I would imagine it was made then. Dont listen to him is my guess.

I know its a wind up but it would be nice to get some facts to put the matter straight .Guess the way to tell manafacture date is via the chasis number.

I worked for a dealership a while ago it wasn't Honda but i once sold a car as a brand new car that had sat untouched in our compound for over 3 years!!
