Hi folks, I've been looking into getting a civic aerodeck estate, the one I'm looking at is the vti 1.8.

I just like to know any thoughts from owners past and present and any bad/trouble points to look out for.

Thanks

Haven't you got anything better to be doing with tax payers money readit how's it going bud?

Well my thought are that the truck is getting older and older and bumpier and bumpier that a touch of refinment wouldn't hurt, just seeing if any one has anything to report on the estates........

I've got a '98 1.6iES. I wanted to save on fuel over the VTI. Car has been pretty good so far, very comfortable and fairly quiet. Boot space is good for the size of car, bigger than a 3 Series Touring or A4 Avant, not that they're very big!

Never broken down, engine has been solid so far. Been through a fare few bits an pieces in two years though, rear brake caliper, rear wheel bearing, CV gaitors, central locking motor and now the ABS light is showing a fault. On balance though I'm happy, no scary bills, but quite a lot of little things.

Wondering what to replace it with when the time comes, as Honda dropped the Aerodeck and the Accord is too big. The new Civic's boot is nearly as big as the Aerodeck though.

G,
At the end of the day its a civic with a setup not too far removed from an EG or EK. Its also got a B series engine. Im sure there are enough of us in the area with above average Honda knowledge for it not to be a problem.

And if you were to look for any one problem in particular, do as matey above says and check the rear brake callipers. But you already knew that wink
