EG engine swap
Discussion
right here goes,
firstly i was thinkin of getting a sti version 6 impreza but ive had a better idea!!!
gonna sell the ek9 and import two EG civics and the front cut from a jdm spec dc2 integra, you can probably see where this is going already.
my plan is to drop the dc2 lump into 1 of the EG's and then strip it out and ad a few choice mods ie. hondata ecu, stage 2 skunk cams valve springs and retainers etc etc you get the picture.
does anyone else have an dc2 engined EG and do they have any advice for me on the above as im sure there is a few floating around the place
thanks!!

sure you will probably already know this info but heres what a know from my little honda knowledge
if your putting a b18c into a eg6 chassis then i think it should be the same mounts as the b series block is the same with only different internals and head. a mate of mine has a white eg with said engine and it goes like stink.
where are you based? there is someone in fife who does these conversions
join www.jdmy0.net loads of honda heads who will sort you out

K Swap is the go mate, forget the B series, its yesterdays hero. I would spunk the money on a nice K20 from a JDM DC5 and reap the rewards.
Also very expensive. For bang per buck you cannot beat the B series. Also the K Swap is not very straight forward at all. To answer the OP, I dropped a B series into my EG last year and you will need:
Engine and box
Wiring loom (complete)
Driveshafts
New gear linkage
New front hubs
uprated brake servo (If you want to stop that is)
New Radiator
New Exhaust - the manifold diameter will probably be different and seeing as your importing a JDM car the CAT will be shorter.
Probably forgot a whole heap - but as someone suggested try civic sports club - they are quite a helpful bunch but search first. This type of conversion has been done a million times before.
PS - get a B18 with a non crunchy box and an LSD.

i dont see the point in doing a k20 swap way more expensive and ur only gaining a bit more torque over the b18c out of the integra.
plus i also prefer the look of the b series engines than the k20's, a bit strange i know but it just looks better!!!
The K20 has more potential and the aftermarket for it is huge. Yes its expensive to the lay person, but shop around and get creative and the costs are not as prohibitive as it may seem. Make friends with your local Honda wreckers, get on the internet and hit up Hondatech.com as its THE swap of the moment and well documented. I'm currently sourcing a K20 head and K24 block for my prelude, Hasport have just released a mount kit for it which makes my job a lot easier, driveshafts are easy to source, KPro computer or AEM is a no brainer, the other bits and bobs are an easy source. plus i also prefer the look of the b series engines than the k20's, a bit strange i know but it just looks better!!!
