A vtec will be atleast £2000 and you wont get insured unless your over 21 with 2-3 years NCB.

Yes you will, it will just cost the earth. The young lad(19) at the garage who work on my car has an EG6 VTi, currently insured through the garages insurance policy. He is able to insure it himself, but at a cost of 3500 a year, hence he is sticking to using the companys policy until he turns 21

He also picked up said VTi for 1300.

I had one myself 2 years ago and that only cost me 1800 to buy.

The EE9 VT is commanding more money then the eg6/eg9 at the minute.

In good condition yes, they are, mainly due to the rarity of them compared to the EG and EK models.

It is however becoming harder and harder to find an EE that is actually worth paying 2k+ for.

Personally if I wanted a b16 powered car of the EEs era, it'd be a CRX.

They arent that hard to find, Ive had crxs and for the me the longer wheelbase and slightly boxier rear end gives it much better handling albeit a tiny bit slower.

The crx really suffers bad from the rear swinging out.

The rear trailing arm bushes are shot 95% of the time. Some new ones really help the back end stay in check!

I found a nigh on concourse white EE9 VT civic with only 70k miles parked on the edge of the street in Honiton. I left a note on the windscreen, and ended up buying it for £1200 smokin Cant say fairer than that!!! They do exist pal, just keep your eyes peeled.
