options are either keep it n/a or go forced induction- superchargers seem to be popular, either jackson racing or rotex.
pound per bhp, supercharging is better but you WILL need to uprate other components other than the engine such as brakes and suspension, including a lsd. You may even be wise to invest in an lsd should you n/a tune.
n/a tuning involves, roughly, uprating your exhaust and induction systems, including changing manifolds to something like a toda. You will also need then to map your car to get the benefits, and need something like a kpro to do this.
Power, you can expect anything upto 300bhp with the supercharger and upto about 260bhp n/a tuned. n/a tuning is popular, even in smaller doses as the K20 lump is toned down in its standard guise and the different mapping makes it a lot more driveable, even thought the peak bhp figures arent great- remember that even though it doesnt have that much torque, its gearing makes it able to keep up with seemingly more powerful engines.
Either way, its not cheap. Budget for £5-6k to supercharge and in the region of £2-3k for a decent n/a tune. Toda, Spoon and Mugen are the bling choices but you can do it cheaper by using magnex, dc sports etc.
Alternatively, you could buy parts second hand or look to buy a car already modded. Remeber, you dont get your money back for a modded car, unless you sell the parts seperately....

As the man said - a good idea is to deal with the breathing first, both in and out.
For mapping have a look at Hondata - Kpro or K100 = Kpro is more expensive but is fully programmable (sp), K100 is cheaper but not programmable.
Whatever you do tho, pick the mods carefully as it can be an expensive mistake - there are a lot of mods out there that make your car sound quick but in fact do you no favours at all - you really do get what you pay for.
Oh and avoid "electric superchargers"!!
As earlier, Spoon, Mugen, and GruppeM are a good place to start, also you have BuddyClub and DC Sports.
I use ITG for my induction and Tanabe for my exhaust and at the moment am very happy with this choice.
I've probably spent somewhere iro £1200 on performance mods, and would be looking to spend about another grand I reckon before I'm happy with that - (assuming nothing breaks)!!
Bear in mind that you WILL need to look at suspension and brakes if you choose to mod on a serious level - it's a hideous platitude but power really is nothing without control, and being able to stop is always good too!!
Have along on the CTR forum, it's very helpful for the most part, just steer clear of the general chat unless you want a flame war, they're a bit of a spikey bunch!
