Right, just bought myself an 00W S2000!

Can't wait to collect it on Wednesday, but am after a good independent specialist near Newmarket to do a 54k service. Any ideas?

Also, the car has had 2 late services during its previous ownership. Great up to 24k always done early etc. First 2 were Honda then independent after that. But it then went for 14k and 1yr and 9 months and just under 12k and a 1yr and 5 months. I am happy the motor is sound as the oil is lovely and clean and is not using any and spoke to 2 service engineers and they said they wouldn't worry about that at all. But what effect would that have on resale?

As I say, am getting it done at 54k anyway as soon as I get it which is only 3300 miles after the last service and 3months and I'll do it to the schedule from now on. Can anyone let me know what the detail of a 54k service is as I understand it is a big one?

What condition would you expect the wheels to be in on a car of this age?

Any other things I should be aware of?

www.s2ki.co.uk is your friend for all of these questions.

Alloys - pretty shocking, tbh...they're known to corrode.

Service history...all depends if it's been fed oil during that time...although if someone's lax enough to forget to service, you wonder if they've checked the oil...I'd be cautious. But a lot depends on how long has passed since 'normal' servicing was resumed (if at all...).

If it's an 00W then it won't have the polished alloys so don't corrode that badly.
