needed for the south east.
I am now in the market for a 2003 or later 2.4 Accord Exec Tourer.
I've seen a few for around £6.5K to £7K, but these have around 90K miles on the clock and are being sold at a Giant place that i'd rather not buy from.
Can anyone recommend a dealership that are friendly and helpful and are willing to spend time with you to help you with buying a car and are not there just to screw you for every penny and not help with the aftersales care?

mucho apreciatated.

They're not all heartless barstards are they?
Seriously though, i just have bad luck when it comes to buying a car and i always have to sturggle to get a good deal out of them, i know that some haggling is involved, but one would have thought that a full tank would be an easy sweetner to buy a car from them.
So all i'm after is a place where someone else has gone to and had a good experience and would recommend them.

Except for being in the South-east, Sportiva would tick all your boxes. Their main market is Alfas around 3-4 years old, usually ex-lease, but they have been buying and selling a lot of those Accords too (plus a few other interesting things) - the couple that run the place like them a lot.

They have a couple of Accord Tourers on the site now, and could probably source one to your requirements if needed.

They're over in Tewkesbury - bit of a trek but I made the trip buy my 156 Sportwagon from them and was very happy with the service, car has been great too.

Depends WHERE in the SE. My Dad's been pretty happy with the combined Mazda/Honda dealer in Maidstone - he's now on car #3 (4?) from them...

Cloverleaf Ascot were good when I bought my old civic, but that was a few years ago now. They were pretty, 'old school', in their approach, which was nice. Aftercare/servicing was v. good too.

In which case probably worth a trip over to the Maidstone one...trying to remember which side they were...and I think unfortunately it's the far side of M'stone...

Might be worth a quick visit to s2ki.co.uk or to another Honda forum, ask the question there...

What's peoples general experience of main dealers? (This car is the first one I've ever had main dealer serviced)

For example, its been in today for its 45k service.

They rang me and told me the front and rear pads and the rear discs were worn and needed replacing. I had done the pads all round in August the front pads I put some Ferodo DS2500s on before a trip to the 'ring and I actually had my rears replaced by a German main dealer while I was out there.

I asked how much meat was left on the pads - "Er, I dont know exactly sir but I dont *think* they will last until the next service"

Bearing in mind the next service is 9k miles away, its hardly desperate is it?

They also told me my tyres were worn and needed replacing - even though i'd been into Kwik Fit yesterday who checked them out for me and told me they still has 2 - 3mm until they'd need doing!

I get the impression they are trying to blag an extra job or two out of it?

Never bought a car from them - wish I could afford to.
But I did use their service department on an old Concerto - most helpful and friendly people.
They don't have a used Accord tourer on their books at the moment, but might be worth contacting to see if they can get one.
