Really loving this car, it's so much fun in these slippy conditions but, is it possible to turn of the annoying 6 beeps on start up that only stop when I put my seat belt on? And also why does the manual say you must NOT put the roof down with the engine running?

Hmmm must be a new thing - I've got an 02 and no beeps (or even seatbelt light).

And must be a typo about not putting the roof down with the engine running - it's good to have the engine running (in fact it's the first thing I do after hitting the starter!)

I'll try to help you:

1. Yes very easy it is as simple as removing a fuse from the fuse box ;-) http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=301... Try there somewhere...

2. Never heard that!! I have always HAD the engine running when I put the roof down!

Think you can just unhook the sensor from your seat for the belt. (look under the drivers seat and you'll see the clip.

I can put my roof down at any time. But I try not to if I'm doing over 10mph, it's a bit of an air brake at speed.

Likewise - I've removed the speed sensor wire that tells the Roof system that you're moving, so can put the roof up/down while moving. I do have to put the handbrake onto the first notch (so the light comes on) but this doesn't in any way actually apply the brake, just turns on the light. There is an option to put a switch in to mimick this, but it's just not worth it.

That annoys me too, if I wanted to wash the lights I'd use the button!
Think I read somewhere that this might have been a re-call or that Honda can sort it out so that it only happens when the headlights are on?

Can anyone shed any light or am I dreaming this up?
