New Civic Type S i-cdti
Discussion
Hi guys,
I am currently thinking about buying the new Civic type S as my company hack to do the 25000 miles a year commute.
I am also considering the 170 bhp Golf GT sport.
Do any of you own the Civic and if so what are your thoughts / comments.
Also I am not keen on the clear plastic grill, can this be replaced with the type R grill?
Cheers

I've got the diesel EX for my 25k/year.
The engine is fabulous above 2k but can be a bit laggy below that. Awesome overtaking car. Ride can be a bit choppy and it is noisy. Very very practical and provided you keep below .9 leptons, it is very economic on the motorway. Overy 50 mpg if the motorway is moving quickly and nearly 60 mpg if you are in the snail racing on the M6. Also it is over 2000cc capacity so you get the higher mileage rate... Interior is a bit creaky and can feel a little cheap though.
Don't bother with the upgraded audio package - it is rubbish. Take a look at www.civinfo.com for more info
