Honda Insight MIMA Upgrade

I have just upgraded one of my Honda Insights with an additional computer which gives the driver total control over the IMA electric assist system.

This clever upgrade from Mike Dabrowski an American Insight Enthusiast has resulted in a 10% increase in mpg from the sublime to the ridiculous!

This is a drivers mod because it requires thought and skill in use, and can be used for performance or economy. I choose economy and in the run down to Norwich and back yesterday on the notorious A1, A17, A47 bimbling along with the HGV's at 50mph, mpg was upto 115mpg at one point about a 100 miles in. However final reading was :-



Not bad for over 300 miles. The mod basically seems to have increased my mpg from mid 90's to mid 100's!

Don't know how you do it, bibble along at 50mph. I can get around 90mpg at these speeds on nsl roads in my diesel but I don't like to hang about.
