Road test: Jap Civic Type-R vs UK Civic Type-R
Discussion
maybe a complete slump in UK Civic Type-R sales will bring Honda to their senses?
.. they could then reduce the price of the 'pretender' by £1-2k and the 'proper' CTR would sit above this (22k ish) - of course to justify the existence of the CTR, they'll need to bring in the tuned JDM CTR (240bhp) instead.
have to say, the 0-60mph: 5.6secs (est.) seems a tad optimistic, but even if it cracks 6s that's awesome for a 2.0l FWD car - even quicker than all the turbo hatches and with all the purity of a naturally-aspirated powerplant.

I already replied to this in general gassing put I'll put my reply here too;
I wonder what Crash were doing with their's, I've easily averaged 30mpg with mine and I haven't been driving with fuel saving in mind at all. Maybe theirs had a leak, as even when I've really revved it I've neaver got anywhere near as low as 11mpg! I don't find it hits speed humps either, I guess it might if you speed over them but even the mount everest sized humps we have at work don't cause it to scrape itself! The only time I do have to be very careful is the ramp onto the driveway. I've not found the ride to be anywhere near as bad as they claimed, I've done several long trips in it and I've felt perfectly comfortable. No-one who has been a passenger has complained either. Yes it is very firm, but its not the firmest car I've been in and it's what I'd expect for a well handling hot hatch.
I agree with them about the handling and steering and engine response though
