Anyone interested in a S2000 hardtop
Discussion
Oh, and I forgot to say, you do know it needs a fitting kit before it will go onto another car, don't you?
They cost a fortune from Honda UK so a number of s2ki-ers have imported them from the US - even with postage and the prospect of being done for VAT and duty, they still work out quite a bit cheaper.

Cheers for that info mate. I didnt know about the fitting kits, what kind of money are they? They cost a fortune from Honda UK so a number of s2ki-ers have imported them from the US - even with postage and the prospect of being done for VAT and duty, they still work out quite a bit cheaper.
Sorry - I don't know. My second S2000 came with the hardtop from new, so I've never had to worry about it.
I seem to remember reading on s2ki that people have been quoted £700-800 by Honda dealers in the UK. I'm sure it can be done cheaper than that without having to import one, but that's even cheaper still, especially with the current £/$ exchange rate.
At the risk of being seen to plug a site where I moderate the UK forum, have a look at s2ki.co.uk and have a play with the Advanced Search facility (you can find a link to it in the "Read this first" thread stuck at the top of the board - it's much better than the "normal" search you get by following the search link on the board)
Hard tops generally sell for £500-600 on s2ki and on ebay when they come up - potentially more for the more popular colours (Silverstone/Berlina Black/Moon Rock)

If i'm right i think it's a diffuser. The bits on the side work like upside down wings and the airflow through them sucks the car to the road like a normal diffuser. I think the ones on the sides are so they work at whatever angle the car is on the road!!!
And i think i'm in love with those rims!!! Mugen mmmmmmm.
Lukedon do you still have your Sol? Looks like a minter!!! Never got to see it at delsoluk

Ye mate Tubbyandy!! (Sorry for being a dick about the whole S2K/Turbo sol thing!!! lol) Nice mota by the way!!
Most of the big jap tuners (j's racing/ Top fuel) sell them but they're very expensive. Most of them go the whole under length of the car and they look schweeeet!!!! Get one bought!!

need to find out where to get a defuser!
Theres always someone selling one on S2ki.com. You could try giving Bulletproof a ring/email as they stock them to order. Do a search for "Top Secret Diffuser" they sometimes come with the optional Vortex generators, not cheap though, but a quality item nevertheless.
