S2000 performance upgrades?

I currently have a TVR Cerbera 4.5, but looking to change, and the S2000 is high (if not top) on my list.
A 400bhp (alledgedly) to a 240bhp is quite a drop, so I'm wondering what kind of upgrades are available. Without going down the forced induction route.
I have seen posts on Bibbs car which sounds like a beast. But I just want to know how much more bhp/torque can be extracted from the S2k.

I had a Griff 500 up until last month tuned a bit to around 300bhp thanks to Austec .... I also had, and still have, an S2000. The drop in power will be very noticeable - unsurprisingly !
The thing with the S2000 is that it works really well as a package. It is not too quick but definitely OK. It handles well, but is no Elise, etc, etc. Trying to get more power - other than the awesome power you get with a SC - is very difficult and I for one am not trying it .... I am on my second S2000 but have left them both alone. All my other cars have been 'doctored' power wise to some degree but not the S. I don't see the point - apart from the SC route which is long and expensive. OK though if you have the knowledge.

The S2000 already produces an awesome 120 bhp/litre, so NA tuning is pretty much out of the question without totally sacrificing everyday usability.
IMHO almost all common intake and exhause mods (except maybe for de-catting) will actually _cost_ you power.
Bottom line, without forced induction, you'll have to live with the output as it is. I'm currently getting used to it (had the car for a week now), and I like it a lot!

If you want torque you need a turbo conversion, best bang for buck is the supercharger and as it happens there is one for sale on the s2ki forum for 2000 quid, add another 1500 for standalone ECU bigger injectors, smaller pulley and tuning and you wont be far from your power now.
£3500+fitting to add around 100+bhp? Not too shabby! Is this a very safe mod, or would it be likely to severely reduce the life of the engine?Its all in the tune, get a crap tune and you are asking for trouble.
With the supercharger you only get full boost at full revs,9200 in my case, my normal driving style is short shifting so I hardly make boost during my trips.
As for engine life ask me again in another year.
