WHAT IS THE ECU? AND DO U RESET IT

HI THERE HAD A BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR AND WAS TOLD TO RESET ECU ON IT.WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO U RESET IT.THANKS RALPH

Unplug the battery for 20 minutes.

Press the 'Caps Lock' key (on the left-most side of your keyboard) - this should turn off the 'ECU needs resetting' LED on the right-hand side of your keyboard.

Your ECU is the "electronic brain"(for want of a less gay term) of your car, controls most everything in one way or another.

And yeah, to reset it, unhook the battery at the terminal, although doesn't need to be as long as 20 mins in my experience.
