Hi all. Looking for any info anybody might have with regards to ITR clutch problems i bought mine 3yrs ago and the clutch failed within a week this was replaced and it has now gone again after only 25000 miles which seems a bit excessive. Was now thinking about fitting an uprated clutch.
Has any1 expierienced same problems or have any advice?
Thanks

Might depend on how its used or how highly tuned your motor is, but even so 25,000 miles is very low scratchchin

Maybe you should try an Exedy Stage 1 clutch this time, or even stage 2 or 3?

Have a look in the Clutch/Flywheel forum of www.itr-dc2.com for more ideas smile

And try http://stores.ebay.com/gripforce-clutches for excellent prices on Exedy clutches smile

25k isn't long at all for a 'teg clutch, but it depends how you did the miles - if there was a lot of town-stuff and/or a lot of aggressive starts, then I can believe it...Honda clutches aren't their finest parts, and a VTEC engine encourages a lot more frequent changes than a big-cube or turbo lump.

In which case 25k sounds piss-poor...maybe something wrong with it?

25k isn't good for any clutch if used reasonably imo, my cars done lots of "fun" trips, several trackdays and two magazine shoots with journos driving and the clutch is still working fine even though it could do with changing now. The cars showing 72k...

Anything between 40 and 60 seems average from what I read on the DC2 forum fwiw.
