One of my brake discs is making a metal-grinding noise so i'm not driving the car at the moment.
I might aswell get new discs and pads - I've found some on www.japarts.co.uk - anyone used this site? Is it any good? Prices seem reasonable - about £90 for the lot...
Would my car be safe to drive at the moment? Wondering how to get it to a garage!

Hi, don't know if you have sorted the brakes but I bought new discs and pads for my 96 SR from the local autofactors (standard replacements vented discs and pads) and I am sure I payed well below £90.
To fit they are a doddle done in an afternoon.
Interested to hear you say handling on your car is not good, my own car is on standard rims and good quality tyres and handles great (usual front drive traits aside). Car is an auto and standard other than a stainless 3" exhaust (imported from states as I couldn't get anyone to supply in uk!) and K&N panel filter but in D2 it goes like stink from 30 to 60 at which point it auto changes to D3 and keeps pulling like a train(and its just done over 100k miles!).
