Has anyone bought the new Type R GT yet? Interested to know feedback, good and bad points.

I've still only seen one Type R since release, and that was parked up.

I have had mine 9 weeks now. Got it on march the 7th. Not seen many on the road but mine has been great so far. Not a quick as my ep3 ctr (well it doesnt feel it anyway) but a lot more composed and comfortable and oh the noise at 8k rpm.

Averaged about 31mpg so far in 1200 miles only one issue. That is 3rd gear is sometimes difficult to engage. This from other forums seems to be a common issue which honda are aware of and are working on. Other than that is been exactly like my ep3, GREAT!

I've ordered one (in red), but it's not due until the first week in June. You'll find several owners and lots of feedback on here;

Saw one recently - not sure if GT or not, but had the 19's on it. Looked well tidy indeed.

The easiest way of telling a GT from a basic Type-R externally is to look to see whether the car has foglamps, the GT does the standard car doesn't. Either can have the optional 19" wheels though.

I know that either can have the 19's, I just couldn't see the front as it was parked front in at Sainsburys.

Thanks for all the feedback. Decided to go for the GT in Deep Bronze Pearl, with Sat Nav and hands free phone. I've had the old shape from new for 5 years and loved it. Not as much fun as the Integra Type R, but still enjoy driving it. It was a toss up between the CTR, Focus ST or the Megane F1 sport.

Great colour choice - they look really good in this - did you go for the Rage wheels?

Excellent choice of car thumbup Have you actually ordered it yet, as I'd be interested to know what the waiting time they're giving now is. I ordered mine in the middle of March and (after a couple of delays) it's due around 6th June.

Hi hut49... Went for the standard wheels and wasn't sure about the Bronze colour. Saw a normal civic at the Swindon Honda dealership yesterday in this colour. Looks like black or a really deep dark chocolate brown on a dull day, but salesman said the sun light picks up the bronze colour. So decided to go for that instead of the usual, red, black or silver.

Hi Marc W... Haven't actually ordered it yet. It's going to be my company car. Have been told it may take 12 weeks, once my company has ordered it. Fingers crossed!!
