Lost one of our honda accord 03+ key fobs. With a 2 year old running riot it could be anywhere.... Dealer conversation was something like "£157 for fob, £27 for programming, thats £220 inc vat please...." shoot

Anyway its one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl

I then need to get it lazer cut... is this common? I can just about stomach the £27 programming fee for 2 mins work...

f*k me. that's pricey even for a main dealer. i shopped around (between dealers) for a CTR fob, and the cheapest was £80 (though he hinted that i might like to service my car there next time).

That's all you need.
Good locksmith shop should cut it for £15-20.
Hand to dealer and pay the £27 for programming.
Job done for well under the ton.
Call other dealers and ask if they're any cheaper for programming.

Unbelieveable, found the fob in USA ebay for £17+£4 shipping!!! And they argue dealer servicing/parts are reasonable in the UK??

Emailed the seller to see if he knows of any reason they wouldnt work over here.

Ah, you've made the cardinal assumption there!
The US Accords are not Accords, but the JDM Inspire with JDM Accord interior.
The Acura TSX is our Accord, but only with the JDM Inspire interior.
Confused? You ought to be, cause Honda clearly are!

Right, why won't the key work - different transmitter frequency.
