How reliable are the legends? I fancy a big cruiser and Honda normally have a reputation for reliability…. Are the auto gearbox’s good on these?

There are some cheap early cars around with quite low mileage...

Any comments as to the reliability would be appreciated…

they have always had a good rep for hgh mileages, but i havent actually owned one although I used to sell hondas many years ago. I would look at a 3.2 onwards though.

Well presuming you're looking at newer one's than late 80's but we purchased my mates 1989 2.7 V6 for a banger rally and it was simply awesome. 130k miles on the clock and it did 2000 miles across Europe in 4 days without a whimper of complaint. Only problem was the ABS was faulty. All electrics, radio, climate control etc all still worked and it would sit there all day long at very illegal speeds with the cruise contol on. Can't compliment it enough - simply awesome piece of kit and all for £150!

I've had 2 Legend 3.2 Coupes and absolutely love them. First one did 140k miles before a man in a White van drove into it and wrote it off, so I bought another. It never ever went wrong in 140k miles, apart from an Air con condensor, and 2 front wheel bearings - that was it. Big, fast 230hp V6, bit lardy on the corners, but its a big fast quiet, sportyish, cruiser, cheap as chips, totally reliable, all the toys. In the USA Legend Coupes are a kind of cult car, favoured by Bad Boy rappers believe it or not !
