problems with my b20b tranny

i got a b20bv under the ho0d of my 98 honda civic LX. can't seem to find a manual to find some info on my tranny. and i have a 5speed manual tranny. second gear is knockin bad! and i can't figure out why because i can't get to the tranny. anyone got any info to help me out?

well... starting with the obvious, has it got any oil? are your linkages aligned?
