Stock Pads for a Civic Type R - don't wanna use dealers
Discussion
I'm looking for a set of OEM stock pads for my mates 2004 Honda Civic Type R.
I don't really wanna go to the stealership to get them, are there any good Honda suppliers, my mate can't afford aftermarket kit for his car at the moment and wants to stay stock.
Your help Honda owners would be appreciated.

Not aware of anyone selling Honda parts NOT through a dealer.
But in all honesty some good a-market parts should save him some money. Ferodo DS2000 or Mintex 1144 are very good...both should give bit better feel and bite than stock pads, albeit at the expense of more dust (Mintex especially!).
EBC DID have a bad rep, but that's apparently changed (don't quote me on that though!). And Pagid are very good if pricier.

How much are Honda charging then? A few of the dealers I do business with are very competitive on parts and make it a point to charge very competitivly for them.
You could always try www.carparts-direct.co.uk about £35 I think.

Last set of front pads I bought for my CTR were about £50 inc VAT, delivered by the local dealer (Cloverleaf Ascot) to where I work the next day, in a nice Honda 'Start button' string bag rucksack type thing for me to keep.
Good thing about Honda IIRC is they charge the same for all parts regardless of the model (i.e. base model 1.4 Civic bits costs the same as those for the CTR) in an attempt to get more people to use OE parts, so for the CTR it's usually good value!
