Can't find your ad Graham? Although I suspect its slightly out of my price range, i'm looking at the lower end of the scale!
Main problem at the moment is the insurance! They want 2 grand off me! And that's WITH my mum and dad as named drivers! Doesn't look good

That sounds a bit excessive, what are your personal details ?
S2ki is down at the moment, but if you try the UK forum there is an insurance data base showing premiums for all ages and regions.

22yo, 0 no claims, license for 4yrs. No claims/convictions. Have 2 willing parents to be named drivers/first drivers (done properly of course). Looking at limited miles as i'd buy a cheap commuter.
With a bit of shopping around you should be able to get that down I should think.
When S2Ki has sorted its server problems, which should be by tomorrow at the latest, I'd try the UK forum. I'm sure there are quite a few younger drivers on there who'll be able to advise.
Ok thanks. I'm hoping i'll be able to find insurance for less than £1k? What'd you think?
Btw my dad has 9yrs no claims, and should he have to go first on the car, he will be using it occasionally in the week anyway whereas i'll mainly have it for the weekends. Hopefully that'll drop it a fair bit!

1k may be asking a little too much, but you won't know until you try.
As you say though if you have your dad as the main driver and you as a nominated driver that may help things somewhat.

Result! More than just quoted me £557! That's with good ol' dad first, mum second and me third! I know I know, its technically not correct but it'll do for me!
I have some bad news for you...
There has been a problem with the more than web site recently, it's well documented on s2ki, and they are quoting for s2k's, but infact they won't insure them.
They have been cancelling people's policies after they have taken them out on the net, refunding their money and giving them a £25 M&S gift voucher as compensation.
Sorry to have to tell you that, it may well be worth a phone call to More than to double check, but I doubt they will cover an S2000.

Oh and btw what do you think of imports? Worth it at the right price? What about insurance-wise?
Btw just got a quote from www.moneysupermarket.com, £871 with £500 excess. Before I get all excited, is there any problem with Bell?
