The fixed light car isn't a type R, it was just called NSX-R

Just the one 'fixed light' press car. I don't know if any flip light Type R's were imported privately.

There is at least one of those, a black '92 that resided in Scotland, it was in a Car magazine a couple of years back. I can't remember if they said it was the only one or if there were a couple of others.

Only one of the 2nd gen. cars were imported - the one which was originally 'owned' by Autocar then has been owned by a chap from the NSX club for a while before going on sale again. There are a handful more 'original' NSX Type R's, but overall they are a tremendously rare and desireable car. Both editions are fabulous.

Apparently there is only one or two of the NA1 so far mine seems to be the only one. There is apparently another one but it has not been seen since 1998.

That's nice!

Founda yellow one that was sold though NewEra:

www.neweraimports.com/soldcarDetails.jsp?carId=119

Type R gearbox, not a type-R car as they were only available fron 1993 to 1995, and only about 500 NA1 NSX-R were made.

It's not a Type R. It's just a white NSX. Up IIRC at high forties.

Lovely lovely car. Goes like utter hell. Exige not in the same league for what I want.

Am seriously considering buying it. It's been there six weeks.

I drive a DC2 Integra type R, and to be honest, you can keep your exotica - a late NSX ticks all the right boxes for me, I hope one day to be in the right situation to own one and use it on track as well as touring europe. They are the sort of car that is under rated apart from those in the know, and imo are a great all rounder driving wise.

What are they like day to day, and have you ever been on track in one?

The type s is only just quicker than a s2000 isnt it? I think the only one to have is the nsx-r.
