I thought I would start a thread about my EG civic build.

Had VTI about 25 years, loved it sold for a GTIR back in the day and fond memories of both so been on look out for a build of both.

Never built a car before but tinkered and did start a kit car many moons ago but was too busy at time working none stop. Now I am mid 40s and only work 2 days a week thought I would learn some new skills and have a project to keep me busy.

Managed to get a part built car with about £40k of bits from a chap who had started build and left country. And I’ve spent a fair bit on extra stuff. Theme is no cheap crap!

Have many parts installed and a few final on way.

The part installed Tefzel wiring is spinning me out but now just needs the 12v to plus, sensor grounds and wrapping. First ever go so taking my time!

That's a bit of a monster , a great Honda chassis with the benefit of a great modern Honda engine.

What is the plan in terms of it being road legal/ MOT'd or strictly a track car?

Yeah exactly my thoughts, always had a soft spot for eg great chassis and so many have been lost to rust etc worth saving and modding right.

Should be fairly pokey (I a told engine in that spec should be good for 1000 bhp with different injectors) any more than 650-700 in that is just crazy so will def have a safe tune.

Road legal yeah will just need to un hook the comp VTA catch can come mot time and plumb in a remote washer bottle as engine bay is getting cramped.
