Civic EP2 unbearable hard ride
Discussion
I'm a happy and proud owner of a civic Ep2 and its reliability. I noticed a clunking noise from the suspension months ago, and my mechanic changed the front wishbones because the silentblocks were broken in both sides. As a result the suspension has become stiffer than ever.
On my way to work there's lot of potholes and the road is in bad condition in general. Driving the same way with my mother's Suzuki Swift and I barely notice noises.
But with my everyday Civic I end up angry and annoyed with the constant clunks that come from the suspension. The dampers are only 5yo so it cant be the problem. I dont know if to come back to the mechanic, probably he'll be annoyed.
Thes days I'm overthinking to change the car and buy another comfy, less sporty one like a C4 /DS4 or a Astra J, since all hondas, fords, mazdas have a hard suspension and I'm tired of suffering it.
Advices welcome, what would you do in my situation?

My Dad, my brother and I all owned a five door S version of the EP2 with the K20 engine at the same time. All three of them had numerous knocks on the suspension that no matter how many parts we replaced were never fixed. Also the knocking wasn't even picked up on the MOT, so it is a mystery what it might be.
As you say the suspension is the hardest of any car I have ever owned, added to the knocking suspension over every bump like you I soon got pissed off with it and went back to my to my MK2 Megane shed. Honestly, it felt like luxury getting back in that car after two months in the Civic.
The other thing I hated was the poor turning circle, spaces you could drive straight into in any other car took two attempts in the Civic. Also tight multi-storey car parks meant you had to turn the wheel much earlier than you would in any other car as the turning circle was so bad.
Do you get the impression I really didn't like it?
