Honda crv. Please help, Woman in need

Looking for some advice if anyone can help me i'd be very grateful.
I have a Honda CRV 2012. Drove back from the shop and as i pulled on the drive i heard a knocking noise under the bonnet. No engine/oil lights on dash.
Next day as i went to drive to my moms house, 2 streets away there was no power in the car, max speed was 20/30mph.
Spoke to my neighbour as he is a retired mechanic, he had a look and said it looks to be the turbo. Plugged his diagnostic machine in which said low air pressure. Figured out it needed a service so he drained old oil on the drive and filled with new oil and new oil filter.
Car is still in limp mode.
Booked car in with my local garage and told him everything. Organised for RAC to recover car from my drive and tow to the garage. On arrival of RAC, he did his inspections and said fault codes were showing on diagnostic machine as turbo. suspected turbo actuator failed. I was told by RAC car was safe to drive the 3 miles to my garage. RAC followed me to the garage. Car drove ok, no smoke, no noises just limp mode. At this point the engine light had come on the dash.
Fastforward to now, the garage has had my car for 3 weeks after the first 4 days of having it i had a call to say the vanes were stuck in the turbo and he was trying to loosen them. Didnt hear anything for another 3 days so i called him. He said the turbo has split in two and we needed a new one. A new one would be around £1,500 or a refurb one for £740 including new oil and filter and labour. I said go for the refurb one. Didnt hear anything for a few days again so i called back he said he had fitted the new turbo and car was running fine for 5 minutes then the turbo seized. He said he had sent the turbo back to specialists and was waiting for the report but he knows it will say no oil. Spoke to my neighbour, the mechanic who stated he must change the feed and return pipes and he can bet he hasn't done that. 5 days it took for the report to come back, i went to the garage and he told me to scrap the car. He said he isnt getting any oil pressure from the engine so the oil pump has gone and he recommends a new engine.
i asked if he had changed the feed and return pipes. he said he had cleaned them out?
He said my bill upto now is £900 just for parts then i will need a new engine and oil pump and i will have to source the engine myself. He said im looking at £1000 for a new engine then labour. Then another new turbo.
My neighbour states all this is because he didn't change the feed pipes as the oil that was in the car when he changed it was like sludge. My fault i missed a service but i just want to know weather this sounds right? he also stated that if i want to buy the oil pump seperate that is around £1000 however another mechanic in his garage told me an oil pump is around £400-£600. I don't know weather to have the car town somewhere else for a second opinion or just scrap it.
