Whats the thoughts on this k24 converted EP3, I have to be honest this isn't a conversion I've seen on an EP3 before.

A K24A3 in a EP3 makes no sense to me, a bog standard K20 will have similar power and a better Vtec range than a K24 which comes in at 6k - 7200

I don't think there's much remap potential for the K24 either, it's not a common engine in the UK. Took me months to find one for my Accord CL9, and ended up getting one from a guy who imports them.

Unless it's a K24 bottom end with K20 top end?

That's exactly what I was thinking, there's no mention of a K20 head and going off the BHP readings I'm presuming not. Its an odd one.

It’s a more common swap on the S2000 because the F20C is so expensive. But it does kind of miss the point (IMHO).

Swap a K20 oil pump and a 50* vtc into the K24 and that’s all you really need if it’s a 200bhp engine.
K24 beats a K20 in every way, all across the Rev range. Doesn’t Rev as high (8600 v 8100 in my case) but it doesn’t need to. I’ll take the extra torque. I’ve had a K20, K24 and a frank all in the same car.

I’d never put a K20 in a car over a K24 N/A unless I was racing and it moved me out of a certain class.

Do you reckon the car is a decent buy?

The car itself looks tidy enough, but the engine swap is a complete ‘what’s the point’ moment.

The k24 ‘Frankenstein’ swap is pretty decent, but putting the whole K24 in just really doesn’t make any sense, it seems more likely that the original K20 was killed somehow and a K24 changed in.

Amazing that a 100k+ mile premier with a non original engine is now a £6k car!

I know! I’m looking at a Type R for a 25 mile daily B road commute but the prices have rocketed, I think I may have missed the boat
