Cr-v 2.0 vtec on E10

Wondering if experience is common... Since imposition of the horrible E10 fuel have been running my 2.0 2017 vtec Cr-v on it... And fuel economy had deteriorated horrendously to the point that I got 30mpg out of the last tank...
So yesterday passing Costco and realising their E5 Premium unleaded was the same price as reg E10 from elsewhere filled it up with E5.... 200 miles done today and mpg back up to 38 and engine 'feels' better
The difference is dramatic and more than outweighs the additional costs of running on E5 Premium... Anyone else finding the same...?... My car due a dealer service soon - any knowledge of a software update to cope with E10?

It seems to vary a lot depending on different models.

My Jazz actually runs better on E10! Mpg is down around 2 , but as the cost of E5 is 10% more it’s still cheaper.
