Break area Part identification help, please
Discussion
Hello All, hoping you might be able to help me find out what this part is.
Honda Jazz 2002-2008.
On the recent service received a note: O/S/R caliper clip is missing.
Here is a 5 second clip where technician shows missing part:

After some extensive "googling" I could not find the part which is called exactly as technician said, but found lots of parts like this:
https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pagid-brake-pad-fit...
I am thinking that the Darth Vader's Tie Fighter looking part (in the bottom row of the product image) may be the one I need to replace
Please can someone confirm
1. What is the correct name of the part (to put into google search)
2. Did I find the correct one (link to eurocarparts above)
3. Do I need to take the wheel off (don't have my own car jack) in order to fit the replacement part
4. How long it may be OK to drive without this part
5. Just curious - do these clips fall off on their own or someone forgot to fit it when replaced break caliper on that wheel last year?

2.Buy the original OEM part from Honda
3.Get someone competent or a garage to do it for you.
4.It's there for a reason and if missing can lead to pad rattle/squeal/ uneven wear and I would replace it ASAP regardless of the service technician's lack of urgency.
5.It's been poorly fitted or not at all and unlikely to have fallen off. There are many variations some of which are secured in place by pins or other fittings. Get someone competent to do it or at the very least check that it has been done properly. I'd advise not doing this yourself without competent supervision or indeed the correct tools. A competent person will also be able to guide you on jacking vehicles safely.
Give Google spell check a slap. It's brakes.
