I recently purchased a 2001 S2000 and absolutely over the moon with the car. Unfortunately it came with no central locking fobs and the from what I can see it has been disconnected which makes sense as I know the Hamilton & Palmer systems were prone to failing. Having spoken to them they aren't really able to help due to their only engineer for the system no longer being allowed to work on the cars due to age, so my only option is to get a new aftermarket central locking system or a new alarm system, so just hoping to get any advice/suggestions from all of you and what you run as an alternative?

Thanks in advance

The first 500 uk cars came without the HP alarm. They just use the oe central locking and immobiliser. I have no idea whether there’s an actual alarm as well!
It might be worth asking HP if they actually removed the Honda system or just deactivated it.
If it can be reactivated, fobs are available for under £20 each and can be coded to the car DIY.
In my experience, sometimes alarms are more trouble than they’re worth…
