2003 Honda Civic gearbox issue

Hello All

My wife has a automatic 2003 Honda Civic.
She was driving to shops when she lost drive.

Recovered the car home with the help of AA.

When the ignition is on "D" is flashing and the car refuses to start.

Any ideas where to start fault finding?

The blinking D light indicates that there is a problem with the transmission. This may be something mechanical such as a shift solenoid or possibly some electrical such as a transmission speed sensor. This may also indicate that the transmission fluid may be low as well.

Check fluid first, that's easiest.

Oil checked and there enough inside according to dipstick.

before it happened the car was stopped at a traffic light, then run for about 50m and stopped.

Could it be the solenoid?
