Can anyone recommend tyres that work well on a standard fn2 type r for road use?
I am after sharp steering feel, so stiffer sidewalls, and good grip wet and dry - I don't care about the wear rate, noise etc as its my fun car and not used for long trips etc but i am in scotland so ideally they need to be good in the wet.
my kit car has 888s but i dont think I want to go that extreme for this vehicle.

Advan AD08R if you want something fairly racy for the road, 'trackday' tyre really but believe the compound has changed recently a little, definitely worth looking in to. These work well in the wet too considering their dry performance.
As you said, A048/R888R/DZ03G maybe a little much for daily use.
I really liked S001 Potenza on my old FN2, stiff sidewall and excellent grip in the dry and decent in the wet.

Thanks all, I am going to order four S001 Potenzas as I like the sound of the great wet grip and stiff sidewalls, and they are rated top wet grip on Black Circles also which is good news, and around £90 each is a decent price.
Advan AD08Rs appear to be nearly £200 per tyre which is a bit much
