Legend KA9 OBD socket
Discussion
I have an early 1996 KA9 Honda Legend and I'm having trouble finding the service connector plug.
It has no OBD II socket under the ashtray (this came in later) and all my searching online has returned information that there is a blue 2 pin socket in the footwell that will return flashing fault codes on the display with a simple shorting wire. The check light and ABS light produce codes that can be interpreted by counting the flashes. Almost all information refers to the Acura 3.5 RL (as it is know in the USA), LHD of course and I am unable to find such a connector.
There is the 2 pin yellow SCS connector on the driver's side that is used to reset the SRS system, but no unconnected 2 pin blue plug that I can see.
In the footwell of the passenger side, I have found an unconnected blue connector but it has 3 pins. I must add that I don't have any obvious faults at the moment but I wanted to check for stored fault codes and it may ne necessary in the future without having to resort to a Honda dealer!
Is anybody able to point me in the right direction?
