Possible 2010 crv purchase
Discussion
Just after any advice & if this sounds like a possible decent purchase.
We need to replace a Subaru Impreza that we’ve had since new & now 190k miles. My wife’s keen on the crv. Seen one locally - 2010, ES model, petrol, manual, 43k miles, excellent condition, fully stamped history, £6700.
Was thinking of getting a newer car & spending more, but this ticks boxes & seems a lot of car for the money. Road tax is hefty -£300. Also insurance quote is £550 - Impreza WRX is £350 - can’t work that one out (same, existing insurance company). That’s not going to stop us getting it though.
Anything worth double checking with it, or does it sound like a decent price for a decent car?
Cheers.

I've had a 3rd Gen diesel but my 4th Gen was a 2.0 petrol, although it was an auto box, and what an irritating car it was to drive. The CRV has desperately needed a turbo since the 3rd Gen and the n/a petrol was fine around town but a horrible on the motorway. You have to keep kicking down just to keep up with traffic at 70mph. Very quiet engine though. We need to replace a Subaru Impreza that we’ve had since new & now 190k miles. My wife’s keen on the crv. Personally, I'd look at the 5th Gen with the smaller turbocharged engine or a different make which has better performance.
Thanks for that - we’re going to look at the car again tomorrow & some others also - not CRV’s. Will get on a faster road to see if it has any go in it. Not expecting it to go as well as our Subaru, but don’t want to be left frustrated if it can’t keep up with traffic flow on the motorway.
