Is it possible to replace the stock steering wheel with a nicer one or do I need to get it retrimmed (if that’s even possible).

Driving 25k a year and it’s really not that nice a thing to hold!

No reason why not, you could try a specialist like Royal Steering Wheels. Expect to pay around £150 or so.

Retrim is the answer, makes a huge difference to the way the car feels inside.

I have a spare FN2 wheel in the garage that I could part with if you wanted to keep your car on the road while the wheel is being worked on smile

Dream Automotive offer a retrimming service, and can also offer gear gators trimmed in the same material.
