I've got a couple of grand to swap my car and a nice '07 Accord is coming up at the auctions on Monday. Its a 2.0 petrol, manual. I have had a few Hondas before but don't know a great deal about the 7th Gen Accord, are they the usual Honda reliable? Anything specific I should look out for?

There is a Lexus IS250, '05 plate coming up also at about the same price. I'm a bit torn as to which is best but I'm swaying towards the Accord. Anyone have an opinion?

I've just bought one, although its a 2.2 cdti.
I can say it drives very well, well equipped and very comfortable.
Not fun to drive however it's better than the Jag x type it replaced.

Itsa Honda. I have been buying Honda/Toyotas 2nd hand for the past 5 years. I have no hesitation giving the Accord a thumbs up. Lexus IS250 good. Only engine not to touch is the Toyota 2.2d.

many thanks all

well, I went to the auctions to bid on the Accord but the price rocketed, someone was bidding online and must have really wanted it

I am after something a bit fun to drive so I think I will widen my search
