morning all
i have a 2002 ex race car that i use for track days and tarmac rallies. just done a rally track day at angelsey and its flagged a problem with the steering. There is a definite lag in the power steering assistance kicking in where there are quick direction changes required. Its had new track rod ends recently. i'm wondering whether its the rack/motor or slop in bushes but you don't seem to be able to get polybush inserts. any suggestions?

You need a new rack slider.

You get get genuine honda or aftermarket. Both are cheap

You could allways retro fit the dc5 hydraulic set up , involves the rack and pump , k tuned do a relocation kit / and all the ancilliaries .

Both of the above are great ideas.

I ran an SHG slider in my DC5 and it made a noticeable difference:
