Hi all.
I’m in Spain right now and I’m trying to buy a budget priced car to use here, and a Honda CR-V is high on the list. I went to see one yesterday 2006 ES with 231,000km on it. Looked in great condition, amazing underneath with not a spot of rust or crud under it all ! (Thank you Spanish weather!) everything worked, it drove well, no bumps, no worrying noises, picked up nicely (2.0 petrol version) but.....

The clutch pedal was seriously heavy! I mean in the 10min test drive my left foot was throbbing and. My knee ached! The biting point seemed ok, at mid point on the clutch pedal travel, no sign of slipping or smell of clutch even at a hill start. I checked the slave and master cylinder visually, and all bone dry, level of fluid was topped up too. Any ideas? Is it assume a new clutch time or more likely something simple? No note in the history of when or if the fluid was changed.

Garages out here are a little different to the UK, they only sell cars, they don’t do any work on them.

Cheers in advance
