I have a 2013 Honda CRV. Started vehicle. All the dash lights came on and the steering wheel is hard to turn. Battery went dead. Next day, charged battery partially, about 50% so I could start vehicle again. Everything was perfect. No lights. Drove it and it ran great. Next day went to start again. Battery was dead. Slow charged to 100%. Started vehicle, all dash lights came on, steering was again hard to turn. I have never seen this before. Anyone have any ideas other than getting rid of it.

Sounds like the accessory belt has snapped, giving no drive to the power steering pump or alternator.

Belt is good. First thing I checked.

Also, I just checked, and the car has electric power steering, right?

So it's all electrical problems.

I'd start with the basics, firstly is the alternator charging the battery? What voltage is there at the battery terminals with the engine running?

Was thinking same. Charger shows 13,25 amps when vehicle is running. I even had the battery slow charged. Battery is fully charged. Can a bad alternator do this?

I’d initially suspect a duff battery not holding its charge

Will have alternator tested today. I'll let everyone know how it came out. Thanks.
