I'm hoping someone can please advise.

I'm close to getting a latest generation Honda Civic and as always it's down to what colour to get.
The options I've narrowed it down to are the Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Rallye Red and the Polished Metal Metallic.
The local dealer has a blue one that is a cracking car and also at a great price. I do have a weakness for the red though and possibly the less shouty and attention grabbing neutral metal.

My one concern about red though is that I often see red Hondas (last generation) that have lost their brightness and that have started to fade. I presume these cars have the clear coat on top yet they still seem to fade underneath.

Any thoughts or advice on this matter would be much appreciated.

The older stuff in Milano red did fade very badly, it didn’t seem to affect the 08 onward civic like it did the earlier models and I’d imagine the new gen stuff is fine, TBH I’d go for Sporty Blue Metallic myself.

I've not heard of any of the newer Hondas turning 'Milano Pink', only really seen it happen to EP-chassis civics. I expect they would've sorted it out now.

It was quite common on the EG and EK too. EP is a bh as it is clearcoated so it fades under the lacquer and can’t be saved which sucks.

Got two milano red FN2s in the car park, 2008 and 2010, paint is pretty swirled, but very much still red...unlike my DC5 befor ei had it resprayed.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm probably going to go for the Brilliant Sporty Blue. The red might attract too much of the wrong attention I reckon.

That shouldn’t be a problem if you keep it in your garage secured with a Squire GarageGuard tongue out
