Jazz - Air con pump gone.

Ok, so we thought it was the water pump, but the guy at kwik fit said air-con pump and the cost just doubled.
Had a look online but there are loads of different little serial numbers and things, so dont want to geta random one off that ebay thing..

Also, the guy said that it runs other stuff on the car so we couldn't just 'do without air-con', what was he on about?

The auxiliary belt runs round the air con pump pulley alternator,crank and water pump pulley iirc.
So if the pump fails completely or seizes can cause all sorts of other problems.
It is rare for them to fail or seize but it does happen.

Have a look on auto data it will tell you what the aux belt also runs.
