How much oil on the crv CDTI?

I have check the oil and the level seems to be 20-30mm over the second hole on the stick? is this right?

I wouldn't have thought so, I tend to keep it in the middle of the two marks. I take it you are checking whilst the engine is off?

Engine off and waited 5 minutes after turning off. I measured again on a more level road and seems to be 3 o 4 mm over the second mark

You could drain a bit out but I'd probably just change the oil and filter but I'd hang fire until you get the noise looked at.

I will bring the car to a garage to have a looked at.

On the CRV forum they talk about an o`ring on the steering pump which could be the cause because let air come in, but on my casa there is no bubble on the oil tank.
